The Shining Delftware Pot

Description

Excavated from debris near the foundation of a long-abandoned alpine lodge, this vessel exhibits the cobalt decoration characteristic of early Delftware. Its subject matter aligns with the tradition of 19th-century Staffordshire transferware that documented notorious crimes. Serving as a record of a winter tragedy later retold in subsequent generations, it bears an eerie resemblance to the story now known as The Shining.
